hi,
i'm writing a new ebuild for a program called sophie. sophie is a virus checker which uses the sophos api to scan and can be used with exim (exiscan) to check mails for viruses. so sophos must be installed.
This is my problem. since there is no sophos ebuild i don't know how to handle it with the dependencies. sophie does not compile correct if there is no sophos lib installed. but there is no gentoo lib i can depend on.
what is the right gentoo way? Simply show a warning about this problem? or is there a standard solution for this problem?
thanx

If sophos is required, then an ebuild for sophos will be required before the sophie ebuild can be "finished". _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |
