my /etc/make.conf is really out of shape

Did you do "etc-update" or rename the temporary config file to /etc/make.conf by some other means? Just "emerge -u" won't overwrite config files on directories where CONFIG_PROTECT protection is enabled, and /etc is one of those by default.

I always do my etc-update , all i wanna know if theres a way to recreate make.conf(should i remove it )
this is what i did , during install i 've added
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=~x86 ,and i dont remember but i might've delete the upgrade for make.conf back then . i never got an etc-update for make.conf although portage was upgraded several time |
