Each time you change/upgrade kernels, the proccess of merging (or however one decides to install a new kernel) does not delete old kernel module directories.
will show kernel specific modules. You can safely delete those that you don't need (by kernel version) to free up hard drive space. I freed about 500MG by doing this.
Be careful to not delete the entire module directory or you'll need to reinstall your modules (make modules_install install for 2.6 users). |
