My dad told me about it when I remembered it from a LONG time ago and asked him about it. It has really changed from back then: it looks way cooler. My desktop is snowing right now _________________ Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. |

A few of my mates in Australia are using this at the moment to compensate for the lack of snow.
Me? I'm running a tropical desktop, replete with women tanning in the nude. I'm snowed in, and I need it to keep me warm |

xdesktopwaves...? are you serious?
Also, on the note of cool desktop modifications, I sorely miss Drempels from my Windows days. It's a beautiful root-window kind of screensaver. It takes a series of pictures (which are best if they're patterns) and liquifies them, smooths them, blends them, and fades them into one another.
It could be set to be extremely slow. Think about the paintings in AntiTrust, that was Drempels set up right. Oh it was great. _________________ s/(?<!gnu\/)linux(?! kernel)/GNU\/Linux/gi
Don't blame me. I didn't vote for him.

Any idea why I don't get the snow?
Running KDE 3.3.1 - I've tried in the desktop settings allowing other programs to run in the desktop, even tried removing my background images.
xsnow runs (there's a process running) but I see nothing. |

I had the same problem with gnome. I read about something to do with virtual window managers / xpenguins in the readme (http://www.euronet.nl/~rja/Xsnow/README.TXT), so I installed xpenguins for the fun of it, then xsnow worked OK! |

the only thing that you are missing is read the xscreensaver manpages
Code: | /usr/lib/xscreensaver/glslideshow -root |
