Ok...this one is driving me nuts.
I have a Logitech Wireless Desktop, the Elite Duo version. (black keyboard) When I have a ps2 keyboard plugged in and any other mouse, linux boots fine. If I have the wireless desktop plugged in, the boot freezes just after the partition check. (No, there's nothing wrong with my partitions.) Now, if I have a ps2 keyboard plugged in, and I boot linux to a non graphical interface, then log in, as long as I have usb mouse support compiled as a module, I can THEN plug in my wireless desktop, start x, and have wireless MOUSE support, still no keyboard. BUT, if I compile USB support directly into the kernel, all mouse support goes away, and I cant get into x, because I have no mouse. I can't compile keyboard support as a module and do this, because the mere presence of the keyboard seems to make linux mad. Is this a kernel issue, or am I missing something? I have read and followed all the previous advice I could find on the subject on these forums and I have read and followed the Linux USB guide. |
