How can I emerge an specific version on software? I'm experiencing well-known problem with alsa0.9, so Ï've decided (after reading forums at Gentoo) to emerge alsa0.5.12. But I'm unable to find out how
So, is here any general way, how emerge specific version, or not? In case of NO, how should I install alsa0.5.12? Should I do it mannally? Thanks |

Just to make sure. I am supposed to write something like
emerge alsa-driver-0.5.12.ebuild
and the exact name of ebuild I can get by
emerge search alsa-driver
Do I understand it in correct way?[/i] |

think this works better
Code: | emerge \<alsa-driver-0.8
or
emerge \=alsa-driver-0.5.12a
