emerge cdrtools fails with
Code: |

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

According to a searchthis can be caused by /usr/src/linux pointing to the worng source tree. That wasn't the problem. Someone also mentioneed trouble w/ scsi, but i don't even have scsi support built in since cdrtools now supports ATAPI burners. |

libscg actually comes with cdrtools. You are getting the error because cdrtools tried to build it, but failed. For some reason it continues building other pieces until finally something tries to use libscg.
When I had this problem, I managed to fix it by changing my /usr/src/linux symlink to point to a 2.4 kernel instead of the 2.5 kernel that I boot from.
Hope this helps. |

I changed /usr/src/linux to point to a 2.4.20 kernel and i worked. It didn't with the 1.5.19 not the 2.5.59 kernel. Odd. |

I just emerged version 2.01_alpha4 of cdrtools. It seems to have no problems compiling, while 2.0 still does. So I guess they fixed it. |

I had exact same issue...tried to emerge 2.0, failed, 1.11.?? failed, tried 2.0.??-alphas...failed =( . Pointed my /usr/src/linux to linux-2.4.20-r2 (previously it was pointing to linux-2.4.19-r9) and it worked! |
