How can I duplicate my working Gentoo system?
I've compiled all the packages and the software which should be on the system. How can I make an "image" of the system software (not the user data) so that I can put it on a second system (or the same, if it breaks). |

Well, the other topic was smart, but I'd like to skip all the files in /etc which is very specific for my configuration. I'd like a generic stage-tarball, which is precompiled with all the software I like (and have my optimizations .
I'd guess there are a lot of files which I can skip which shouldn't be necessary.
Pointers please... |
