|
|
In a URL such as
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?p=1807627&highlight=#1807627
is it correct that the "p=1807627&highlight=#1807627" together
determine the thread, and a posting within the thread?
When reading a particular posting in GentooForum thread, how does
one obtain the URL of that posting? _________________ Your thread resolved? Putting [SOLVED] in its title helps all Gentooers. (Button "edit" , first post)

Yes, although you don't need the &highlight= part, which is used for highlighting specific words.

Just next to the word Posted at the top of the post is a little icon, right-click on it and use 'Copy link location'. _________________ Search | Read | Answer | Report | Strip |

Thank you tomk; clear and to the point.
And it happens to me again! --the generational difference: Every
time I can't find something, the answer is "Click on the
decoration".
That's ok; my grandfather never got the hang of capacitive
switches that don't move, even though they have changed their
state... _________________ Your thread resolved? Putting [SOLVED] in its title helps all Gentooers. (Button "edit" , first post)
