Hi,

Since I am stuck with a crappy winmodem, I am forced to install this driver. I did a

Code:

emerge hsflinmodem-5.03.27-mbsibeta02122600.ebuild

That went OK without any glitches or errors
next i tried

Code:

hsfconfig

I got through selecting a .inf file and selecting my country but when i tried to compile the kernel modules for my modem it fails saying that gcc was not found(yes, i did a env-update and source /etc/profile) and my kernel version mismatches when it clearly does not. Can anyone provide any help, because i really want to use linux to connect to the internet?

edit: nevermind i didn't search the forum and found out how to solve my problem. Sorry!
