Hi all!

I've a Gentoo system 1.4RC_1 working perfectly since 4 months.

Today I modify my disk partition and now I can't see extended partition (where alla data reside).

Before fdisk:
primary
/dev/hda1 winzozz xp
/dev/hda2 /boot ext3
/dev/hda3 extended
/dev/hda4 ibm recovery
extended
/dev/hda5 swap
/dev/hda6 root
/dev/hda7 fat32 (to exchange data)

I've deleted hda4 and hda7, I've rebooted machine and I've do mkreiserfs /dev/hda7
All had work properly (for two hours), but when I've rebooted grub can't find hda6

So I boot from live cd, and I've done fdisk /dev/hda, results

/dev/hda1 winzozz xp
/dev/hda2 /boot ext3
/dev/hda3 unknown
/dev/hda4 ibm recovery

aaarrgh.

Anyone have an idea to recover my data?

Thanks, D

Are you sure you didn't accidentally deleted /dev/hda3 ?

Just a thought, mind!

No, I'm absolutely sure.

I've deleted only hda7 and, after reboot, I did mkreiserfs /dev/hda7.

I don't understand .... but all my data is lost.
