I've just configured postfix and wanted to run the newaliases command before running the deamon, but I got this:

garth mail # newaliases
newaliases: newalias is meaningless to sSMTP: it doesn't do aliases.

I just did an emerge postfix. Does ssmtp not run with postfix?

hmm. Did an

Code:

emerge -C ssmtp && emerge postfix

Everything seem ok now. A bit weird...

I know it probably wasn't necessary to remerge postfix but I did it just in case...
