I have the Promise Fastrack PDC20276 controller and it has been acting very strange. For instance, my system will not boot becasue it says that fstab is corrupted, and cat fstab shows major corruption. However if I boot from the rc2 cd and initiate | Code: | modprobe ataraid
modprobe pdcraid |
then I can mount the raid / partition and fstab then looks normal. I have all of the Promise features compiled into the kernel and I'm running the ext3 filesystem. Just a note bootup fails when mounting proc,and I can type dmesg and the raid controller along with the hd's show up. How can I fix this??

I just ran | Code: | | fsck -t ext3 /dev/ataraid/disc0/part3 |
after booting from the rc2 cd and it tells me that the filesystem is clean... I'm not sure what is going on here. |
