Samba client problem

I configured my samba server to share part of my Windows drive (fat32) recently, but when I tried to access it via smbclient or xfsamba, it won't let me in. It says:

added interface ip=172.16.73.243 bcast=172.16.79.255 nmask=255.255.240.0
Got a positive name query response from 172.16.73.243 ( 172.16.73.243 )
Password:
Anonymous login successful
Domain=[STUDENT] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 2.2.7a]
tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME

I tried finding out what this error message meant, to no avail. I can access other people's shared folders, so I know it's not a client problem. Any ideas? thanks in advance.
