I have followed the printer install guide, and when I try to configure cups it dosent see the parallel ports. Its not even an option. I built parallel support into the kernel. The printer is a HP laserjet 2100 using 1.4_rc2. |

Have you enabled Parallel printer support, under Character Devices (kernel configuration)? _________________ "I'm just very selective about the reality I choose to accept." -- Calvin |

Now that I got that working, I cant get cups to see my HP LaserJet 2100. I installed all the files in the Print-howto doc, and no luc. I can get it to print under raw, but looks crappy. I have a debian box with the same files installed and it has the option in cups for my printer. Is there a way to add it to the list ? Can I install deb's from my other box?
Thanks |
