|
|
Hi,
Understood that this chip doesn't support 3D accel. in X. But I can't even run totem (which uses xine) in gnome.
When I ran xine-check in xterm, it says:
[ hint ] Your X server doesn't support YUV overlays.
[ hint ] Your X server doesn't have any XVideo support...
Here is my Module portion of XF86Config
Code: |
Section "Module"
Load "xtt"
Load "type1"
Load "dbe" # Double buffer extension
SubSection "extmod"
# Option "omit xfree86-dga" # don't initialise the DGA extension
EndSubSection
Load "glx"
Load "dri"
EndSection
|
And here is the Device section:
Code: |
Section "Device"
Identifier "ATI Rage Pro Mobility"
Driver "ati"
VideoRam 8192
# Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate
EndSection
|
Any ideas?
ps: I am running a ACER TravelMate 600 laptop. |

Try installing the ati-gatos drivers (or whatever they're called, as i'm not on my gentoo system at the moement. they're in media-video), and maybe load the xv module if needed? |
