In the programming community's humble opinion, what's the best method for making a text based, menu driven linux app (similar to make menuconfig or Slackware's 8.0 install menus)? I haven't even looked cross-eyed at a compiler in about 5 or 6 years, but I feel that I can pick up whatever is necessary to get my measly task done. Suggestions? |

This may be a little late, but I would also suggest you check out S-Lang, a great example would be Jed. This may be a little over kill for what you are looking for, however, it may help someone on down the line.
