Hmmm...I'd have to go with ALPS Touchpad support. The kernel patch comes with the Synaptics package.

Here for swsusp2.

And I also would like a working replaceable DSDT, which was the only thing that kept me from using the last love (had to use nitro instead as the patch there still used the initrd way, but I prefer love).

Configurable mouse polling. Or is that already in mm?

BTW, if you manage to make a stable love with working swsusp2 I'll hire a couple of girls to give you a foot massage :) .

Yes, that's the one. You will find alps.patch in that archive.

The ALPS touchpad is used in many current laptops, mostly from HP/Compaq but also from other vendors.

Semms this patch causes my firefox segfaults. optimize-profile-path-slightly.patch , would you be so kind as to reverse it? http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/akpm/patches/2.6/2.6.9-rc4/2.6.9-rc4-mm1/broken-out/optimize-profile-path-slightly.patch

Thanks.

Works great here. No segfaults on shutdown either, unlike the last few kernels I've tried - very impressed so far.
Haven't seriously stress tested it - it's not dark enough for a game of Doom yet :D

No issue with Firefox either - I'm using 1.0_pre (not r2). My vote is to keep the patch in, unless this is a really widespread issue.

Might grab that mapped_watermark one of DaMouse's now and see if I can break anything with that :D

And the mapped_watermark patch seems to have worked fine too. At least nothing's exploded yet.

valgrind craps out with the 1gb_lowmem_i386 patch, if anyone is concerned about that. http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0408.1/2297.html
