Hi
When I do a emerge koffice (KOffice 1.2.1) it compiles fine, but in the end, I get the following error:

Code:

----snip-----
--- !targe sym /usr/lib/kde3/libkarbonaiimport.so.1
--- !targe sym /usr/lib/kde3/libkarbonaiimport.so
/usr/sbin/ebuild.sh: python-config: command not found
/usr/sbin/ebuild.sh: set_enable_final: command not found

!!! ERROR: app-office/koffice-1.2 failed.
!!! Function , Line 910, Exitcode 127
!!! error sourcing ebuild

>>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache...

Locate gives me the following:
Code:

elias@gentoo elias $ locate python-config
/usr/portage/dev-lang/python/files/python-config
/usr/portage/dev-lang/python/files/python-config-2.2
/usr/portage/dev-lang/python/files/python-config-2.2.1
/usr/portage/dev-lang/python/files/python-config-2.2.2

But why nothing in /usr/bin or similiar ?? In a place, where ebuild could find it ?? And what is "python-config" doing in the end of the "emerge" ??

Thx 4 help

Greetings

what does a emerge -p koffice give you?

btw you wouldn't have put -python in your USE flags would you?

Hi
I have nothing concerning python in my USE-line in /etc/make.conf ...

I think, I'd better add python there ;))

emerge -p koffice gives me the following output:

Code:

elias@gentoo elias $ emerge -p koffice

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild   R  ] app-office/koffice-1.2.1

I'll try to recompile it with python as USE-flag...

I added "python" to my USE-flags, symlinked /usr/portage/dev-lang/python/files/python-config-2.2.2 to /usr/sbin/python-config an recompiled, all worked fine !!

Thx 4 Help
