I'm running VMware on Gentoo with Windows 2000 as the guest OS. I want to be able to sync my palm with the Windows software (I have to.. I use an app that only supports Windows... AdvantGo). But anyway, I was wondering how I can get my USB devices to play nicely with VMware. I looked under the configureation options, and I saw where I enter the location of the usbdevfs... it was set to /proc/dev/usb.... but /proc/dev doesn't exist... so I changed it to /dev/usb... still nothing... what am I doing wrong?

Oh yeah. Okay I did that...
Normally, it's in /proc/dev/usb isn't it? I have no /proc/dev... did I not compile in the right one?

It´s in /proc/bus/usb
You probably also want usb file system.
Check for
CONFIG_USB_DEVICEFS=y
in /usr/src/linux/.config _________________ sigs are boring |
