|
|
I recently installed Gentoo Linux, with no problems. I used this website to find how to set up xfree86, and so used emerge xfree at the prompt. However, when it started, it said it couldn't find a tar.gz file on ibiblio.com. Then, it tried a mirror (which might have been invalid (mirror://sourceforge/...)) and still didn't work. Any suggestions? Is there a file from where I can edit the mirrors?
Thanks for the help!

Define GENTOO_MIRRORS in /etc/make.conf. It's overriding /etc/make.globals - you can use the syntax there as an example. Multiple mirrors can be separated by whitespace. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

It seems to be happening more and more though; does anyone have any mirrors that I can use? I don't know of any, and certain files always seem to be missing from certain mirrors.
Thanks! |
