Me and my friend are slowly getting our DVD/DiVX player ready. The reason I'm telling this to you is that the underlying OS is Linux and specifically Gentoo. And it's been the perfect choice.
So thanks to all the Gentoo developers and everybody else who have helped us on the way.

I had the same idea, I was going to use one of those VIA Mini-ITX motherboards (comes with everything onboard including a Cyrix 800mhz CPU), but it can't do DiVX very well. However, there is a new motherboard that I have yet to find and its called a Jetway B860T, and it has everything built in other than a CPU (but can take a P3). This project has been trying to burn a hole in my pocket for a while, its great to see similar projects.

Yeah, those mini mother boards would help a lot in placing the stuff inside the box. We're building another one (for me, the one in the pics is Tero's) and I thought long if I should buy a mini motherboard or just buy new gear for my desktop and use the old parts for this. Latter option won.. :) |

Nice thing, I am doing something similar currently. Can you tell me where you got the Bus-Risers? I am searching for such a thing for a long, long time but never found it!
Best would be a vendor-link! _________________ Many greetings from Germany,
