Has anyone been successful installing Gentoo on VPC running on iMac? (I know there's GentooPPC.) Attempting to install with stage1-ix86-1.2.tbz2.

Everything goes along fine until an error crops up running scripts/boostrap.sh which I couldn't write down before the the install continued along. The ebuild ends prematurely with the error: Function src_compile, line7, exitcode 2 (no error message).

make.conf settings were set to i686 general as VPC emulates Pentium II.
