i did an emerge rsync this morning (12/17/2002) for the first time in a few days. now when i try to emerge -u world or emerge -u -p world i get the following error:
Code: |
# emerge -u -p world
These are the packages that I would merge, in order.
Calculating world dependencies |!!! (dependency required by "x11-libs/qt-3.1.0-r1" [ebuild])
!!! Error calculating dependancies. Please correct.
|
now portage seems to be broken. i'm guessing a dependency is failing, but what is missing? how do i correct it?
thanks! _________________ 15% of the populace will never steal.

WOW i can't even get that package to emerge at all from a fresh install..
thats the exact package that kills my KDE install... even when i try to emerge an earlier ebuild .. i really think portage is borken right now or something cause after a few hours of dealing with it, i tried to go back to a fresh 1.2 install and portage wasn't even able to bootstrap and just kept exiting with perl scripts errors when i tried to bootstrap even.. and it's so dam insane.. i install this shit a few months ago.. stage 1-3 and the whole systemed compiled perfectly with out a single error .. now theres errors everywhere.. what the hell is all i can say... |
