Hi,

Make sure that you've properly configured your Kernel to use and support the fasttrack controller. This can be tricky, escpecially if you use the "Use special Fasttrak feature" in the fastrack config section of the kernel config. If you enable this option, the fastrak controller will override the bios-assigned ide-drive detection order and the drives will be detected and mounted in reverse, which may be out of sync with how you assigned them in your fstab.

You didn't actually change the physical layout of your disks at some point, e.g. re-attach ide cables, move disks around etc. ?

If I understand correctly, you don't even get to the boot screen (grub) , right? If that is the case then I would assume that you have a problem on the hardware/bios level. If you changed your disk configuration make sure your ide cables are properly aligned and that the bios detects your drives.
