Hi,
recently I installed gcc 3.2.1 - but doesn't it mean that the compiler itself is compiled with my former compiler?
How can I now compile gcc 3.2.1 again using gcc 3.2.1 this time?
Thanks! |

No, when you emerge gcc, it actually compiles itself three times, and all but the stage 1 compiler are compiled by the version you are emerging. Long story short: your 3.2.1 is compiled by 3.2.1. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
