.. che tristezza .. tra un po' qualcuno pensera' di brevettare i nomi delle persone cosi' poi ci tocchera' pagare per chiamarci l'un l'altro..

E questa e' una delle varie possibili risposte.
IMHO a qualcuno da fastidio l'open source.
E le considerazioni a cui giunge la FSF sono ovvie.
In caso di brevetto violato una azienda puo' attaccare direttamente le aziende clienti e non solo le produttrici (il caso SCO insegna)

A mio parere, prima si arriva a brevettare cose palesemente discutibili, prima si arriva a capire che il sistema con cui attualmente vengono rilasciati i brevetti fa schifo.

Comunque secondo me se va a vanti di questo passo bill gates potrebbe costringere gli utilizzatori di windows ad avere una licenza-chip impiantata nel corpo, e se non e' originale non puoi usare il computer, o roba simile..

Heise is reporting [0] that Munich's mayor has held a press
conference, in which he said that the bidding process for the switch
from Windows to Linux will go forward as originally planned, despite
patent issues. Thanks to Matthias for spotting this first.

Mayor Ude, who said he's been thinking it over for a few days, says
there will be a legal study completed by Autumn concerning the
migration, and if it looks safe, they will go forward and meanwhile
the bidding begins. Munich, he said, wants to stay with its
commitment to Linux. He also announced that the city is going to
request a legal study on the question of what consequences the
EU-directive on the patentability of "computer-implemented
inventions" will have in the current version of the Council of
Ministers's proposed law.
