Show "most frequently viewed / popular posts"

At the top of the discussion board, show the most frequently viewed / popular posts similar to Microsoft's Technet website.

This would make common FAQs easier to find and hopefully less repetition in answering questions.

Granted, it's not at the top of the discussion board, but you can see that information on the statistics page.

The problem I've noticed with sticky and announcement posts on other boards is that if you get too many of them, they start occupying too much space at the top of the board, which then pushes the regular discussions down and fewer people start noticing them and participating in them.

Maybe there's a phpBB mod out there that would work, though. Not sure.
