Hi,
I have a teac cd-rw/dvd combo named 224-E.
Burning with cdrecord an the generic-mmc-driver works fine. Reading a data cd with cdrdao (1.1.7) also. But reading an audio cd with cdrdao results always in a kind of an endless loop:
Code: |
cdrdao read-cd --device 0,0,0 --driver generic-mmc test.toc
Cdrdao version 1.1.7 - (C) Andreas Mueller <andreas@daneb.de>
SCSI interface library - (C) Joerg Schilling
Paranoia DAE library - (C) Monty
Check http://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/drives.html#dt for current driver tables.
Using libscg version 'andreas-0.5-UNIXWARE_Patch'
0,0,0: TEAC DW-224E Rev: 1.0A
Using driver: Generic SCSI-3/MMC - Version 2.0 (options 0x0000)
Reading toc and track data...

And that's all. cdrdao isn't doing anything more. Anybody know what to do in this case? |

Does cdrdao do it on every audio cd you try? is thi cd dao recorded and closed?
It acts like the cd is not well closed. You may want to try at shell prompt:
dd if=/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 of=/tmp/test.iso just to check, but I don't know if a cdda can be ripped in that way. _________________ Nous autres, mordus d'informatique, préférons par-dessus tout passer notre temps à bidouiller nos ordinateurs, plutôt que les utiliser pour faire quelque chose de productif. hi, dd doesn't help me. There was no transfered data. Anyway.
grip can rip the cd without problems (think it uses cdparanoia)
BTW it happened with all audio cds that I tried. |
