hi folks
I'm using Gentoo 1.4 and can't get mutt running with colors... it just shows nothing instead of colored text... if I mark it in the terminal the lines become colored bars, but no text
when I connect to my other system (debian) and execute a cat on some text-file or open man the shell hangs.
I am a little bit lost as I have _no_ idea why this happens....
thanks

Is this in a console or an xterm? Does playing around with your TERM envariable help? I use Eterm, and I often find myself having to set TERM to xterm in order to have remote sessions work correctly with ncurses. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

it happens in console or xterms
I set the TERM to linux,vt100,yterm - (all the values I found on google ) but nothing helped.
every time I made a cat or man the session hung.... right now I can't reproduce...
mutt displays localy no colors but when I connect to another maschine mutt works... remote and local $TERM is xterm |
