ok i've been trying to contvert an mpeg i've got,
it locks up every player i've got but mplayer (windows
and linux), it plays fine in mplayer, and when ever i
try to use this command
Code: |
transcode -i Signs.TC.SVCD-TWCiSO.CD1.mpg -x mplayer -V -y ffmpeg -F mpeg4 -E 44100 -b 128 -o test
|
all that the video produces is just a 480x480 green
video, audio is there though, i'm figuring that its
something to do with my mplayer and transcode versions
so here they are
mplayer -- 0.90pre10-2.95.3
transcode -- v0.6.2.20021114
i hope someone might be able to help me
if i do this (i believe that was the command i used, not on the same os at the moment).
Code: |
transcode -i Signs.TC.SVCD-TWCiSO.CD1.mpg -x mpeg2 -V -y ffmpeg -F mpeg4 -E 44100 -b 128 -o test
|
i get the video sort of decoded, however the video has green noise everywhere. i'll come back and edit if i have it wrong. |

ok a bit of an update to this, i've gotten it to work, all it took was changing one line in the import_mplayer.c in transcode to get rid of a wrong argument passed to mplayer, i'll see what i can do to get it sent in with th correct one, i just took it out (-nogui) so now i just have an annoying blank window when i encode, i can live with that, i'll see what i can do to fix it and get a patch sent in to the transcode team |
