Ever since I installed Gentoo, I've had to execute "dhcpcd eth0" in command mode for the browser to work. Does anyone which file should have this so that it executes on bootup? I must have missed something when I installed. |

You have to activate dhcp on you nic to get what browser to work? I forget the name of the file but you have to swith whatever is already in place for network with dhcp and that should take care of the problem.
This may be the place: Edit the /etc/conf.d/net script to get your network configured for your first boot: In there somewhere you need to specify dhcp for you network connection. Found that in the install doc.
Here are the commands:
Code: |
# nano -w /etc/conf.d/net
# rc-update add net.eth0 default
