Man and/or Less - How to prevent screen clear ?

When I do:
man somecommand

and then exit the pager "less" with the q command, the screen of man page info clears off of the terminal.

How do I prevent it from clearing off ? I would like to get the info on the screen, and then quit the man page leaving the info available for use.

I am using aterm if that makes a difference.
