Telling XMMS to use Playlist Titles

After finally getting ALSA to work, setting up XMMS was a snap. However, I do have one gripe with it: Titles in a playlist are constantly resetting themselves.
I'de like to load a playlist that specifies the titles to display (meta data), and that these titles stay that way. Currently, XMMS changes them back to what the id3 stored in the mp3 specifies as soon as I play it. Is there some way to turn off this "feature"? Thanks for the help,
