hi,
I have gentoo 1.4_rc1. I understand DRI is not supported in gentoo for this card, eventhough it is supported in other distros. Is this true?.
Can I download and install XFree from Xfree86.org, to enable DRI?. |

i have the exact same card in my thinkpad T30. DRI works, it just takes a little work sometimes. the 4.2.1 release ( i haven't tested the 4.2.1-r1) works, but i had to get the latest DRI nightly build from dri.sourceforge.net to get opengl apps working. check out this page for more info. there's probably other posts in the forum about it as well. definitely can be done, just might be little more work.
