Just got a tv card, would like to get it up and working.
Seems that the gentoo-sources kernel does not have bttv in it, as v4l does not expand when selected under menuconfig
Am I correct that I have to manually install the bttv code or is it there somewhere I cant find?

I would have to beg to differ with you on that one. I'm using gentoo-sources and running bttv right now (History channel). It's curious that v4l is not expanding, though. There are prerequisites to using v4l (i2c, for example) that may be hindering your selection of v4l. Try enabling those and going back. You may have better luck. |
