I got most of MythTV working, but when I watch it it doubles the sound. Seems to be due to it playing both the sound from my card via the cd in and from the video file it creates enabling it to pause/rewind/fastfoward/etc. the MythTV docs suggested to use alsa 9, but I'm currently having problems with my alsa mixer.
I believe to fix it I have to be able to mute the output of the CD in to my speakers while still allowing MythTV to recieve the audio. I'm currently using an ATI TV Wonder PCI Card. Not sure if the Card is the problem or not.. any suggestions? thanks

If I understand your problem correctly, you are right, you must mute your line audio channel. I use aumix to handle my volume controls, but kmix or anything else will do the trick. If you have aumix installed, use "aumix -l -100%" to shut off the line audio and eliminate the double sounds.
I hope this helps some! |
