libpng again

Hello World,

I have problems with libpng (1.2.4). I've lost a lot of icons and pictures around kde, especially during startup. I've read various post and bugreports, but all I get is confused. Maybe I'm too used to "emerge fixes everything" but I've also tried patches and workarounds without result.

Will a shiny new ebuild come along to fix my problems?

Should I have png in my USE?
