First & foremost, can linux see & correctly interpret the array?

if answer=yes;
it's a good sign

prepare for a lot of work

Seriously, like all things Un*x, it depends. Here's a starting point, but there's a lot more work to be done. Have you tried just configuring grub and giving it a shot?

Yes I have tried to config grub to start WINxp, When Linux is running I can see my raid while setting up grub (hd0=linux, hd1=CDRW, hd2=raid). My problem is that when I reboot grub only sees hd0, and hd1.

Will you post your attempted config for dual booting?

What leads you to believe grub can't see hd2?

Which /dev/hd* does linux identify it as?

Is the raid array controller a, b, c?
