Hi!
I am looking for an e-mail client for linux that resembles to "thebat" client on windows. If I could import my messages from bat to this e-mail client I would be really happy to give linux a serious try.

| I've never used 'The Bat!' but kmail is probably the closest equivalent under Linux looking at the screenshots.. |

kmail isn't as good as The Bat! but does beat every other Win mail client. It lacks the easy way The Bat! has of managing multiple accounts and personalities, it's efficient use of screen real estate, I can't find its PGP encryption, and it lacks the same slickness of use. However you can drag and drop attachments into the mail message, thread conversations and pretty much everything else you are used to in The Bat!. You may find kmail a bit klunky to use, though it's functional, but The Bat! will work under WINE with little tweaking. Check the WINE db for comments from other users using The Bat! under Linux. You can export The Bat! accounts in UNIX mailbox format which every *nix mail client, including kmail, will undoubtably import.
