Is it just me or is the sun happy meal ethernet module not present once the system has been booted from the 2004.1 Universal CD??

Also, this isn't the stock 2004.1 CD as this doesn't work with my Ultra5 (Silo bug), This is the test file from http://dev.gentoo.org/~gustavoz/sparc/

specifically install-sparc64-universal-2004.1-silo132.iso

Hmm? sunhme should be built into the kernel. We don't use modules for hardware which is on almost every box supported by the CD.
Paludis 0.12, 127.35% Portage compatible and six times faster.

Ok, my mistake. The documentation hints at the fact that know hardware should be auto configured, and the network started if a dhcp server is available to get the settings. Which of course it didn't. Then the documentation talks about loading drivers if the hardware wasn't auto configured.

Hence my confusion. Since I have a DHCP server running and it's standard hardware. Anyway, I forced DHCP activation using net-setup, and the interface came up. Maybe a change either in documentation or startup scripts is required to clear this up.
