Installing Adaptec 2930CU and SCSI CD-RW

I'm trying to get my Yamaha SCSI CD-R to work under Gentoo. It's connected to an Adaptec 2930CU. This combination used to work under Windows, but I haven't gotten it to work under Linux yet. I think I just don't have the right drivers installed, but I don't know what to do. /dev/scsi/ is empty.

cat /proc/pci reports:
