anyone has a clue how to do this?
i tried bsetroot but couldn't figure the correcto options.... :(
there must be a way specify this in XF86config......riiiight....?

For those of us needing a UI, if you have GNOME2 installed,
type "gnome-control-center", and check your mouse settings. You can at least get it white or get a larger version. Though I'm pretty sure that I've read something about someone using a 128x128 cursor.

==> well i changed the standard cursors to to the artwiz cursor......but still I want to change the color of it.

I remember reading something about X only being able to use black and white cursors.

I used a window manager that gave me a red cursor, so it's possible to not be black. I don't know how though.
