I'm loading 2004.1 onto this machine. It's got a pair of 300Mhz ultrasparc-II procs and a gig of memory. I've successfully put Debian on it in the past, and have managed to get Gentoo 1.4 running on an SS20 so I'm not totally clueless
I've bootstrapped and emerge system'd and built my kernel (multiple times). The new kernel loads fine, boots up, but the damned keyboard dosn't work right! Some keys emit wrong character, most do nothing at all. I've tried a build with defconfig, with genkernel, and manually picking drivers I need. Guess I should also mention I'm using development-sources (2.6.5 kernel)
Anyone have any clue what's happening? |

I don't know the link at the moment, but cianrm (sp?) has a site/faq about Sparc and Gentoo, and it has something about keyboard maps in there somewhere. Maybe someone can tell you ihs site url.
