This post on this thread got me wondering...
Is posting ASCII art allowed on these forums? This issue does not seem to have been addressed in the guidelines (unless I missed it). I once made a post with ASCII art (depicting spam) but if its not allowed then I am willing to remove it. _________________ I am never wrong. I am simply misinterpreted.

If it is obscene, no. (dunno if it was the case). _________________ "I'm just very selective about the reality I choose to accept." -- Calvin |

I cant find that thread any more but it was definately not offensive. I posted an ASCII art picture of a Can Of Spam in a Spammish Topic and even added a little wink smile to ensure people didn't take it the wrong way. _________________ I am never wrong. I am simply misinterpreted.

I removed it because it was offending and insulting other people. I wouldn't call this 'art'.. _________________ "To have a successful open source project, you need to be at least somewhat successful at getting along with people." -- Daniel Robbins |

LOL. You guys managed to dodge the question.
So its OK to post non-offensive ascii art in posts to help illustrate any points? _________________ I am never wrong. I am simply misinterpreted.

I think so, as long you keep it in a decent size. _________________ "I'm just very selective about the reality I choose to accept." -- Calvin |
