Hi Everyone,
Just unpacking a stage2 tarball on my U5, - the md5's match so it downloaded fine.. but when doing tar -xvjpf stage2....
i get:
./proc/.keep
tar: ./proc/.keep: Cannot open: No such file or directory
./root/
./root/.keep
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
Any ideas folks? |

Ignore me. It would help if /mnt/gentoo/proc wasnt mounted...

Hi Sugarat,
I had the same problem, and I hadn't read your post until then. I did the same thing as you and didn't create/mount /mnt/gentoo/proc.
Do you know why this is the case? Is it just a case of updating the handbook or some other bug?
Cheers!

I'd need to look at the handbook closely again.. I wouldnt put it past me to skip parts without thinking about it
If it is a problem with the handbook then I'll let someone know.. |
