Hi

I have problems with my HP 8200 cd-burner. Everything seems to be ok but when I tried to burn a new cd both xcdroast and cdbakeoven failed.

Here is the log file from cdbakeoven

I have the same model CD-Writer. Some things to check:

Do you have "SCSI Emulation Support" in your kernel (from ATA/IDE/MFM/RLL support)?

If so, do you have the line hdx=ide-scsi in you boot loader?

Do you have "SCSI CD-ROM support" enabled? (from SCSI Support)

Ah - Did you "Enable Vendor Specific Extensions"

Also, try the command:
Code:

cdrecord -scanbus

To see if your SCSI settings are correct in your burning software.
