Okay I got fed up of the fact that I can't use Tag&Rename on linux, so I starting developing a linux version of the app. Mind you this was my first time making a linux gui app. I looked up some tutorials and have actually gotten a good start on it. Its starting to really come around as a nice app. What I wanted to get is some input of essential features and goals that I should have.
Right now my initial goals are these:
It will be a KDE app (GTK port is not something i'm gonna look into right now)
Offer a interface that is very similar to Tag&Rename
Mp3 tag support
Long-term goals:
Ogg support
Be able to generate playlists
Load files and playlists into user specified player
If there are any ppl out there who would like to help, I would greatly appreciate it. Your help could be as simple as offering icon pixmaps to offering a fast search algorithm.

Easytag sounds like it'd fit your bill, but I know you weren't asking for recommendations...
Sorry, I can't help you with your project |

One of the problems with EasyTag is that it is not an KDE app, and right now i'm really liking KDE, and thus am gonna develop the app that way.
Thanks for the input though! |
