I'm having trouble getting my Microsoft Sidewinder controller working in Linux. Latest kernel, USB support compiled in (my USB mouse works, Sandisk Compactflash reader works, Kodak DC3400 camera works). When I plug in the controller I get (from /var/log/messages):
Code: | Oct 13 07:30:38 angst kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/2, assigned device number 11
Oct 13 07:30:38 angst kernel: input1,hiddev0: USB HID v1.00 Gamepad [Microsoft® Microsoft® SideWinder® Game Pad USB] on usb1:11.0 |
Seems like its detected, but the only devices I have in /dev/input are mice and mouse0. Is there something I must be missing in the kernel? _________________ open like a child's mind. |

Nevermind, I figured it out. I added Joystick support in input devices. Works fine now. _________________ open like a child's mind. |
