why does VNC suck?

I'm not trolling, but VNC is really pissing me off lately. It jarbles text in quite a few of my programs (everybuddy, emelfm, etc). Why does it do that?

try playing with the vnc compression parameters and try to switch to tightvnc/or back to vnc

Along with TightVNC, I like TridiaVNC http://www.tridiavnc.com .
Unix and Win versions.

There not perfect, but works for my needs.
