I'm not trolling, but VNC is really pissing me off lately. It jarbles text in quite a few of my programs (everybuddy, emelfm, etc). Why does it do that?

You're not trolling?
VNC doesn't suck... it's really quite efficient at what it does. Perhaps the programs you mention are not conforming to standard methods to draw to the screen? |

try playing with the vnc compression parameters and try to switch to tightvnc/or back to vnc |

Along with TightVNC, I like TridiaVNC http://www.tridiavnc.com .
Unix and Win versions.
